SAITA was founded in 1980 by two partners who had the intuition of uniting their technical and commercial skills to give birth to a small company whose mission was to give technical assistance to water treatment plants in all those situation in which the plants’ producers were not able to assist their clients in managing the water cycle within their factories.

Favourable conditions to the company’s birth:

•    Both partners have gained experience previously working for well-known companies in the water treatment field.
•    Many water treatment plant manufactures were not giving aftersale assistance and not helping their clients in managing water treatments in their premises.
•    More severe controls by the Authority concerning industrial wastes.

The company was set up the 26th August 1980 in Schio (VI) and named S.A.I.T.A. s.a.s.. The first head office was in Vicenza, but after two years was moved to Maserà (Padua) and in 1984 definitively transferred in Limena (Padua) where is still located.

SAITA’s market, at the beginning, was localized in the provinces of Vicenza and Padua in particular assisting companies in the galvanic field such as: goldsmiths, silversmiths and in general all those firms specialized in metals’ treatment (e.g. chromium plating).

The galvanic market saw, in the 80s, a remarkable growth due to the popularity in the everyday use of silver-plated objects (which were made of plastic, iron or brass and then superficially covered with silver) instead of ceramic or pewter objects.

SAITA, working in that period with companies in such a great expansion, had the merit of implementing its structure without losing sight on the original mission of its business. This attitude has granted the Company an unchanged success through the years, confirming the importance of the values that has guided its business since its birth: particular care toward all clients and plant solutions specifically thought to assure the total reuse of water in industrial washings.
