A long-standing customer of ours in the die-casting of aluminum sector decided to increase the capacity of its existing treatment plant to over 15,000 L/day. This was done to keep up with increased production. So, a vacuum evaporator with a capacity of 7,000 L/day, installed in 2011, was joined by a new EV400 evaporator with a capacity of 9,000 L/day.
The project also provided an opportunity to completely redesign the treatment area, creating an extension to the plant equipped with storage tanks and a coalescing oil separator.
The treatment plant, now upgraded, is able to recycle more than 90% of the water contained in the spent die casting lubricant, resulting in an oily waste content of less than 10%. The storage tanks are fitted with analog sensors, and the systems are integrated for remote supervision via Ethernet.
